Long Island Corals – DOA & Live Arrival Policy

Refund & Return Policy

All livestock sales are final.

Long Island Corals does not offer refunds. Approved Dead on Arrival (DOA) claims are issued as store credit only.
Shipping charges are non-refundable and are not eligible for store credit.

Live Arrival Guarantee

Long Island Corals guarantees the live arrival of all corals and fish.

The Live Arrival Guarantee is void if:

  • The package is not received on the first delivery attempt for any reason (verified via UPS delivery timestamp).

  • The delivery address provided by the customer is incorrect or incomplete.

Some corals may appear stressed or withdrawn after shipping and may require several days to fully recover and display normal coloration. This is not considered a DOA.

DOA Claim Requirements

To be eligible for a DOA claim, the customer must:

  • Submit clear, well-lit photographs of the coral inside the unopened bag and outside.

  • Photos must be sent within 1 hour of delivery (UPS timestamp will be verified).

  • Photos must be emailed to longislandcorals@gmail.com.

  • Follow all additional instructions; additional documentation may be requested.

Failure to meet any of the above requirements will void the DOA claim.

DOA Resolution

If the coral is confirmed as Dead on Arrival:

  • Store credit will be issued for the purchase price of the coral only.

  • Shipping fees are not credited.

  • No cash or credit card refunds will be provided.

Store Credit Terms

  • Store credit may only be applied toward livestock purchases.

  • Store credit cannot be used toward shipping costs.

  • Store credit expires 1 year from the date of issue.

  • Store credit is non-transferable and has no cash value.

Post-Delivery Disclaimer

Once livestock is confirmed alive upon delivery, no further warranty or guarantee applies.

Long Island Corals is not responsible for losses or health issues occurring after delivery, including but not limited to:

  • Improper acclimation

  • Incompatible tank conditions

  • Water chemistry fluctuations

  • Lighting intensity or spectrum

  • Tankmates or environmental stress

All buyers assume full responsibility for livestock once delivery is completed.

Customer Responsibility

By placing an order with Long Island Corals, the customer acknowledges and agrees to all terms outlined in this policy.
